The Photographer

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, I spent my early years enduring the violence of the Lebanese Civil War. Paradoxically, it was during this time I discovered my love of nature. I remember spending many an afternoon as a child looking at the distant hills outside the city through a small telescope and taking photos with a Kodak Disc 4000 camera. Nature and photography were my respite, as my telescope and camera allowed me to separate myself from the sights, sounds, and uncertainties of war.

Today, I’m an award-winning landscape photographer. Landscape photography is my passion. I enjoy the discovery and wonder of every destination, every location, every subject. I am drawn to the ethereal, the elegantly simple, and complex geometries. In their pursuit, I have traveled internationally and through the United States from Key West to Alaska seeking out subjects and the light defining them.

When not creating photos, I serve as a photographer and board member with VirtualPhotoWalks, an organization formed to enable individuals isolated by illness or disability to experience nature in real-time.

I am husband to my wife Jennifer and father to our five children, with whom I have had the privilege to travel the world.
