Glacier National Park is home to remarkable waters and a diverse landscape. It is simultaneously beautiful, surreal, and serene. Avalanche Gorge, seen here, dominates a small forest with its blue-green hue and the sound of rushing water.
This image was photographed on a small wooden bridge overlooking Avalanche Creek. While the bridge is stable, any movement introduced blur into the photo. I needed to be sure no one was on the bridge and that I was absolutely still to create this image. Positioning the camera was a bit cumbersome, and I ended up sacrificing a trigger remote to the creek when my hand bumped against a railing and sent it tumbling into the blue cascade.
